Nomad Rent a Car provides third-party insurance coverage for all vehicles. In the event of an accident, the Renter MUST inform the company and dial police at “999” to obtain police report. Without such, insurance company does NOT cover any damages. Affected party: • If you are not the one at fault according to Police Report, no charges will be made against security deposit At fault: • If found at fault according to Police Report, the renter is liable to pay insurance excess amount and police fine for causing an accident (500 AED). • If found at fault while renting sport or luxury car, the renter is liable to pay insurance excess amount, police fine (500 AED)+ 20% of total repairment invoice. • If the renter below 23 years old is at fault for causing an accident, he/ she is liable to pay insurance excess amount, police fine (500 AED)+ 20% of total repairment invoice • NOT covered by insurance: The costs for damages such as fire and/ or breakage of glass, damages to tires and/or tire rings, damages to upholstery and/or interior, or everything that is not fixated by a Police Report are collected from the client and are not covered by insurance.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the two emirates that feature road toll systems which operate without toll booths or barriers. Every car is equipped with a chipped tag that charges the fee automatically. Most of the malls and sightseeing attractions have free parking. City streets feature paid governmental parking zones. The cost for one hour varies from 2 AED to 4 AED. Such shall be paid using dirham coins via parking meters or via SMS. Instructions on payment procedures and rates are illustrated on each parking meter. Payment receipt shall be placed at the front dashboard. As a standard, Nomad Rent a Car has level-to-level policy. This means that customers are expected to return the car with the same fuel level as they were initially given. Fuel cost and service charges apply if the car is returned with lesser fuel. Cars are fueled with “SPECIAL 95”. For daily rentals, mileage limit is set to 300 KM per day. Sport, luxury and exclusive vehicles are capped at 250 KM per day. Every additional kilometer is subject to extra charges. Sticking to speed limits indicated on signs is the best way to navigate around the U.A.E in order to avoid traffic violations. All the roads are monitored with the use of speed radars and cameras. If you were issued a traffic fine, you will be notified prior to any charges against the security deposit. Speed limits in the city vary between 60 km/h to 100 km/h depending on the area.
